Walk with God

Dixie embraced adolescence with gusto, including indulgences her church labeled as sins. Nevertheless, she frequently heard a divine voice guiding her life.

As a teenager, driving home at 2:00 a.m., Dixie heard the voice say, “Take the Peterson exit.” Peterson wasn’t on her usual route, but Dixie took the offramp. 

A few minutes later, she saw a log home with flames billowing from the chimney. She stopped and beat on the door, saving the family from devastating loss and possible death.

Dixie married, had a daughter, divorced, and married again. Eventually, a divine hand reached into her life and miraculously guided her and her husband back to church.

Dixie told her congregation about following the voice. Sadly, two fellow church-goers told her her lifestyle had made her unworthy to receive divine guidance, and that she’d been deceived by Satan.

Such judgements caused Dixie to worry about what people might think if they learned she’d met her husband in a bar. She knew his goodness from experience, and the voice had once said, “I put him in that bar that night because he would love you and your daughter unconditionally and walk with you on your spiritual journey when you were ready.”

Never judge another’s worthiness. Dixie was always on her path. Humble listening souls walk with God.
