Mother Earth

David stretched out on his lawn and pressed his back against the earth. It felt safe and inviting.

“I love you,” a Feminine Voice said.

Intuitively, he knew. The Earth was embracing him with every imaginable kindness and acceptance. He felt it in every cell.

“I am your Mother,” She said. “How would you feel if you touched a whale?”

“I’d feel awe.”

“Why?”

“Because it’s so big and alive.”

“You’ve been touching me all your life,” She said. “I’m the biggest thing you’ll ever touch. And I am alive.”

Her message took him to a new level of admiration and reverence.

“I am Divine,” She said. “And people have forgotten how to worship Me.”

David had paid the price for such an experience. He’d nourished the Earth, cultivated Her with offerings, and sifted Her soil lovingly through his fingers.

“You’ve learned to speak my language,” She said.

Learn the language. Make an offering. Live in love.
